A preview of my project that I started with my friend, Gabe, today. Everything should be done by tomorrow, we ran out of sunlight and the temperature dropped so the dye kind of stopped sticking.
I dropped off my headliner at Gabe's Grandpa's shop to get re-upholstered which should be ready by tomorrow. I didn't want to dye it since I still wanted to keep the headliner soft, almost like OEM but black.
Time wise, tearing apart the whole headliner took about an hour and a half, since part of it was trial and error and we didn't know how to take some clips and stuff out. I think I only broke one clip out of the whole ordeal.
Enjoy.

Awesome work sun, was going to do the same thing a couple weeks back but I never got around to it. Maybe when you show pics later you can encourage me a little.

Sure, buy my plane ticket or pay to have my car towed there and we'll get started! Originally Posted by curryboyy

It isn't as hard as you think it is. The both a-pillars came out in less then a minute. The hardest part is taking the headliner out of the car and unsnapping the sunglasses / sunroof mounting plate out of the headliner itself. Other then that, everything is very simple.Originally Posted by Frankieg35

Why not start now? We did all of this outside in the driveway that we've dubbed "Gabe's Ghetto Garage." Many projects have taken place in that "garage."
As for the dye we used, Gabe had some mixture of stuff that he made before I got there. I'll ask him tomorrow what he used.

Thanks, Chris. I'll post finished pictures of the interior tomorrow and maybe you'll change your mind. It is a lot easier then you'd think.Originally Posted by iseechriss
