want to debadge my 04 LR Coupe but afraid the paint is going to be faded then it would look even worse than the emblems being there...instead it would look a lot brighter than the rest of the red???

After 4+ years, the fade might be a little more drastic, but when I debadged mine a few years ago there was a shadow where the emblem was, but it faded after less than a week. I'd imagine yours would fade to an even color eventually.

I have a 04C - Laser Red, I just debagged it this summer. There is a "ghost" mark on both the G35 badge and the INFINITI badge. i left mt fuji on. the only time you will see it is when the sun shines on it just right. My car stays in the garage all the time when home and its not my daily driver, probably why its taking so long. It just needs some time to go away. plus it looks 10x better with them removed.

I just debadged the "G35" lettering tonight. It looks so much more balanced. I need to take some pics!

Also to the guys debading after many years. Wax the area with a good polish and it should lessen the shadowing if not completely get rid of it, especially if you have a buffer.

Thinking of taking the infiniti and g35 off of my black coupe. Any suggestions tips I would appreciate it. I'm afraid of the shadow look its a 05 and this may be a stupid question but do you just pull it off? Thanks

Try just taking the "G35" off first to see how the ghosting is. I had originally planned to take off everything but the Infiniti "Mt. Fuji" logo, but I decided I liked just the "G35" badges off, and it's less ghosting to deal with.

To remove them, you will need:

-Hair dryer or heat gun
-Floss
-"Goo-Gone"
-Wax/polish to help remove ghosting
-Clay bar isn't a bad idea, either.

Heat up the badges with the hair dryer/heat gun until they feel somewhat loose, then pick them off with the floss and proceed to pick off the adhesive that held the badges on and use Goo-Gone when necessary. Clean off later.
