OP. try the RS*R for the Z if you want to go a bit lower, maintain good ride and get even better performance. I had the Z H-Techs and had same issue with the rear drop. was not about to cut the spring mount so went with the RS*R's and could not be happier. Z H Techs are great springs, but these provide even better performance and the proper drop without having to invest in full coils. match these up with D-Specs and you are good to go.

IMO coils are only for track use or if you want to slam your car, which ruins the ride anyway.
ditched my coils for the setup I have now, 350Z RS*R Ti2000/D-Specs and could not be happier. great ride on street or aggressive for track. just adjust the D-Specs and it's pretty much set it and forget it. car sits with proper rake, nice low stance, but not too low, with no rubbing and I am running 19x9.5 +19, 19x10.5 +19.
if you need to track or adjust height then go with coils. if not, then save yourself some $$$ and try this setup. you will not be disappointed and can use the money saved for another mod.
just my .02. good luck either way you decide.

your car is insanley clean, i want to get the same wheels but i have a few questions. did you have to do anything as far as spacers, lowering, or anything else. Mine is stock right now and i want to get wheels but i cant lower is because i have the same problem as you (driveway). Also do you have any rubbing issues?

^^ thanks. i have no spacers, i'm on 350z tein h-tech springs. drop is conservative, but i rarely have issues with driveways, entrances, etc. with the conversative drop and relatively conversative offsets on my wheels, I do not have rubbing issues of any kind. but the price i pay is not having an aggressive looking car.
going to go with coils in the near future though, for performance reasons and for looks. i guess i will just have to deal with my car being lowered
