Work Varianza T1S installed!
Props to Rick @ Status! He dealt with several of my phone calls as I measured and remeasured and debated on which offsets to go with. He did everything he was supposed to do, modding the wheels with valve stems on the back of the wheels which house my TPS. Dealer had a little trouble at first scanning the new ones but they got it done. Over the holidays, I installed new Koni shocks, 350EVO front arms, rear SPC camber kits, Eibach sways, etc. The final treatment was an '06 sport bumper and a new set of wheels & tires.
They are 20X9.5 and 20X10.5 with +24mm offsets all around. It really is perfect for me, not too aggressive but definitely noticeable compared to stock. The finish on the wheels is Silver Polish (diamond cut face with clearcoat and metallic paint in between the spokes) with polished lips. The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 in 255/30/20 and 285/30/20 and I absolutely love them!
Front fitment is perfect, pretty much flush with full steering lock. The rear was super close to rubbing, about 1-1.5mm clearance. I had my body & paint guy slightly roll the rear fenders for extra room. My current camber settings are -.75 deg. front and -1.5 deg. rear. Next time I get an alignment I may have them adjust some more positive camber in to bring the tire even closer to the fender lips.
My initial driving impressions are that the car is not as light on its feet but that is no surprise coming from OEM 19"s. All in all the looks and fitment are well worth it and if I need to track the car or put it in the shop for a while, I'll just throw on the 19"s.
BTW, the wheels were a special order from Japan and it only took about 5-6weeks. Rick really knows his stuff, it was hard for me to resist going with 20X11's in the rear!!
