just had my heater core replaced and the shop said this light came on and cant diagnosis it so was trying this and nothing. i seem like i get a code now. comes on then goes out for 5 secs, on, then off for another 5 secs, on, then flashes 7 times, then back to the 5 secs thing and continues like that.

my airbag light was flashing this morning. i was soo stressing out cuz i don't have da warranty on my car anymore and i thought i had 2 take it into stealership! i came home from work and looked up airbag light on da forum. i came across this thread. tried what u guys said 2 do! now da light is NOT flashing anymore! u guys r the ****!!!!

Just be aware. This procedure only resets the light. If there is a problem with the airbag system, the light will come back. It might even take as long as a week or two.


BTW, warranty on the airbags lasts longer than the factory warranty. You might want to double check to see if you are covered.

where should i look 2 find out how long da airbag warranty lasts? cuz i looked in da manual and i couldn't find it...

I wanna say it's 5 year, 60,000 miles on the airbags. I beleive they are covered under the drivetrain warranty.

I'd call up infiniti with your VIN# and confirm this first.

airbags r cover by powertrain warranty?!? ****! if i wouldve known that i would taken it 2 da dealership instead of resetting it! oh well... i guess if theres a problem it would show up again huh? i mean... that light was flashing out of nowhere. it was weird.

lmao! u were right. i guess theres something wrong. on da way 2 drop off my girl 2 work, da airbag light started flashing again. i guess i'm gonna take my car in on monday. i wanna find some paper saying that airbags covered by powertrain warranty b4 i go in though. so i don't get denied. they denied me with some stupid **** b4...

Look through your warranty booklet if you still have it.

You could always call up the dealer too and ask them details on what is covered. I'm pretty sure airbags are 6 year 70K mile though

naw i never got da warranty booklet when i bought da car. (i bought it used) i'm sure i can find it online.

I found it in my '06 book. It is 72 months/70000 miles
