tried out my wheels on the coupe today

Around 430 today I decided to go ahead and see how my old racing sparcos looked on my new G-coupe. I also have a local guy interested in them with a coupe the same color so it was oppurtunity for me to take pictures to show him how it will look.

Wheel specs:
18x8.5+35 with 235/40
18x9.5+22 with 265/35

I did it a couple of different ways, i first had my 9.5s up front and in the rear with the 265 width tires to see what kind of room I had for future fitment, I then put the staggered setup of 8.5 front and 9.5 rear to see how that would look. I then photoshopped the 9.5 setup to see how it would look lowered.

So heres the pictures:
Staggered front:

Staggered side:

flush front stock height

flush front chopped

I like the look of the flush front lowered and I still like the way the wheels look, even on the G. I had my doubts, but its hard for me to not like these wheels unlike most people.

Tell me what you think and be honest, but keep your photoshop comments to yourself, i know its the suck.

I wont do stock, paying around $1000 for OEM wheels is not my fortey. Thankfully Im not too stuck on these wheels because currently they are not the correct size I wish to run in the front.

I have a second set of wheels coming soon, so i will see how those work out. Im not too big into the volks other than the CE28's which i cant afford, plus i dont want to worry about $3k wheels. I'll probably stick with something from Enkie, AME, or maybe Work (but they're heavy).

sadly for some of you I will not be putting on anything bigger than 18's and nothing with chrome. As for the wheel I ultimately put on, it will be of similar style (cast with flush mount spokes, no lips for me thanks) with a nice deep concave face...I'm more into racing designs than the show/vip designs like most seem to be on here.

Sevas is also a brand to look into. You said you dont want to spend that much, but i wouldnt get something that looks like junk just to save some money. Save up atleast.

I agree about the tires, they're a 265/35/18 on a 9.5in rim at stock height so that doesnt help appearances.

As for the Sevas, not my style. Im not soo much looking to save money and I'll take an Enkie wheel anyday over a Sevas. The sparcos I had listed at $400ish new when they hit the market, they're just not popular so they went down to $100 on a clearance sale last year.

I'm leaning towards an enkie or AME wheel, maybe a set of Works. Fitment and weight is big concern for me right now, so I'll narrow my choices by that first and then look at price and style.

Im going for something around 18x9.5 with offsets around +15 to +25. Cast and less than 23lbs.

I think I might be on the only one here, but I really like the wheels. I think that the tires kinda bring them down, though.
