thanks for the comments. the door led strips add a subtle touch to illuminate the ground when getting out at night. that is the only time they are on.

I am not sure I would ever apply an eye lid to my 2000 dollar headlights....unless if it happenned to be one of bluebats overlays that is easily removable. I had ings eye lids on my old headlights and loved them..but not sure on this set
