Playing with HDR 1st Time

so the problem I'm having with HDR/Photomatix is, I can't shoot at +/- 2 exposure, I can only shoot at +/- 1 exposure, so that is throwing everything off. Anyone have any ideas?

You can adjust that in photomatix when you select your photos (set it up to where 2 of the photos have the same exposure) so when you upload them into photomatix, it will prompt you to change the exposures since it sees that some of the photos have the same exposure that your trying to upload.

I hope your using raw files and not jpeg

^ I think I am using jpeg, I am uploading them from my SD card, how do I convert them to a raw file?

You cant, you have to have a camera that is capable of shooting in raw format.

oh, I don't think mine can. What is the difference of jepg and a raw file?

I think they have free registration on friday nights, so look out for it and you can get photomatix for free also!

doesnt look as good as the picture you gave me hotel..this was taken with a nikon coolpix camera..i didnt mess with the setting at all tho.
