I'll try and put together a DIY, since I don't think my wife will let me take on more light projects. She already said no more headlights, and now it's no more taillights.

The DIY will assume that you know how to use a dremel and have the correct bits and cutoff wheels (get the reinforced ones).

The LED ring is from an 05 G35 sedan light, in case anyone is wondering. They are directional, so to make the set true mirror images of each other, you're going to need both the driver and passenger side of a set of 05 sedan lights. I'm also using the little circuit board from the sedan light, so that I will retain both the parking light and brake light dual intensity function. I'm sure someone with basic electrical knowledge can make their own board. I'm going to use the stock halogen bulb for the signal light to avoid any hyperflashing issues.

Once I get my passenger side done, I'll have an extra pair of LED rings with the light buckets.

So this will not be a cheap mod if you use 05-06 sedan lights. Those still go for at least $300 a set.

I've been getting them off ebay. I had a driver side one that I bought 4 years ago with the intention of doing this for $40. I just bought a passenger side for $100. I wish it were cheaper, but I wanted to just finish up this project.

Damnit, i was planning on doing this with one sedan light since they have the a dual ring thats the same size and it is a perfect match for the outside hole in the coupe light. Is there a reason you couldnt use the other ring from one light? Ive been lookin to buy some sedan lights on ebay for this reason. I better get em now, my guess is theyre gunna start going up in price now I was gunna do a set of 04 so there wouldnt be any diffusers on the lense. The inside is diffused on 06+ so it will look a little different then the outside ring, as you can see in the pics. Great Job regardless!

IMO the stock sedan lights are just too big and red. I would black them all the way out but I want to still be safe. I have the KP module so the two LED rings are the parking, brake and turn signals. I think it works well on the sedan.

And it doesn't ruin them, I can always sand them down and go back to red.

the LED rings are all slightly different. You'll see once you open up the sedan light. You could just use the other ring, but it won't be a perfect mirror image. And I don't plan to have any painting on the lights. I go for the OEM look. Everyone who looks at my headlights thinks that it's OEM 06 projectors with an extra set in the fog section. But it's really 03-05 lights with S2000/TL projectors.

I also have the S2k and TL projectors. How are yours wired? I used the TL for high/low and the S2k for a second set of low beams via the fog light switch.
