I've seen 'em in person, and they look terrible. Either paint or not at all.

Why you guys all hating on the dude. Hes 18 and doing one hell of a job. Most of you wouldnt be able to afford the **** hes doing when you were his age unless mommy or daddy paid for it. I think it looks good and I like the idea of a vinyl because you can remove it very easy when its time to move on to another car.

Im only 19 and I cant afford that stuff hes doing to his car. Most because theres more important things going on for me right now. But give the kid props for doing a nice job his ride looks nice. Just because it isnt perfect up to Magazine standards doesnt mean you gotta flame the kid.

Dont listen to half these guys it looks good. Keep it up man.

But to each their own.
well said.

Paint > overlays

Haters? Because we're honest in telling you that the roof vinyl looks like azz in person? Broke or rich, high-school dropout or CEO, there are alot of so-called mods that are better left alone.

Have you seen it in person though? In the OP I said the pictures
don't do it justice also. Its not some $hitty vinyl I laid over my roof
by myself like the majority of people do. So talking about the quality
of how it looks in person is kind of ignorant..

They look good, your lucky you only had to pay for the material only. But like solekeeper said, I'm wondering how well it will hold up in the Florida sun.

Vinyl holds up in the sun relative to how well it is taken care of. Just like paint requires wax, vinyl requires a good uv blocking protectorent. It ain't rocket science.

Looks fine, as long as you can remove it without a gooey crap left behind in the future its a great subtle mod.

Vinyl vs Overlays vs Paint....?

I'm so glad some of you newer members are doing your own thing rather than listening to a few that can only see there way of doing things. It's very cool that if you decide you don't like the blacked out roof you can peel it off without damage to the paint! Good Job....
