Vinyl Roof Done

Heres a few pics of the vinyl I had installed on my
roof about a month ago. My buddy who owns a 350z
hooked me up with a great deal from his dads vinyl shop
Free professional installation, just had to pay for the
materials....

Pictures don't do it justice, looks AMAZING at night.
Oh, and threw in a pic of the Nittos I had put on yesterday..

Let me know what you guys think.

Its as smooth as paint, but yeah it has sort of a carbon
fiber look to it. Not flashy at all tho, its very subtle. I
think it gives it a nice touch...

Why is that? You make it sound like it looks terrible or something?

Please elaborate...

I don't get it. What's the purpose of covering a body panel with vinyl?

That reflection looks terrible, especially next to the reflection on the glass. A good paint job offers a much clearer reflection. Provided, there are some better quality overlays (like Bat's) that offer a clearer reflection than yours, but vinyl is still no match for paint. When you start getting swirls, you won't be able to fill them in like you can with paint.

But to each their own.

True, paint does look better, but you cant take paint off like I can
with this vinyl; have to pay to have it repainted down the road...

But I dont care about the reflection of the sky, at all actually
because im never looking down on the top of my car from
a plane. Im willing to bet(no offense to Bat, he makes great products),
that the quality of this vinyl and the way it came out is no match
to the vinyl he sells. It's professional grade, made to last from a shop
that does automotive body wraps. Not looking for an argument, just wanted
to hear your side....
