I just joined the forums, but if you want my .02, silver is the only way to go...I think the rims you currently have look great! I'd love to have them because I'm rockin' the 17" chrome stockers right now...

bwhahahahahahaha... that's great.. I love the armani suit comment.. I'd NEVER do this to my current rims.. I was thinking about what magnesium blue would look like (prolly Volks) on a blue car.. that's all.. I too think (at least w/ the current pshopped example) it kills the look I'm going after.. "Menacing" is the perfect adjective.. My car's name is Beast (like from the xmen).. Although too much blue is novelty. I just wanted some idea of what it may look like.. This was enough to deter any future plans or even thoughts for that matter of making my rims blue... I too like gunmetal and a "few" black rims.. I think even chrome is played out on are cars personally.. But to each their own

I went to Southern Methodist University, and their mascot is the mustangs.. The reason it looks so close to the "Furd" mustang is because it IS the same except turned the other direction.. The rumor (what they tell you at orientation) is that someone in the Ford family saw an SMU football game when looking for a new idea for one of his cars..

Don't know how true that is.. but that's the rumor they tell everyone that goes there..

[QUOTE=350Zed;4100504]Wheels should be silver, gunmetal, black, or chrome.

What we have here is one members opinion and definitely not creative. I guess he's never been to a meet and seen what is possible and KOOL! Last summer we had a BBQ and one of our member had his lip P/Cd in gold on his OB coupe. There wasn't one person there that didn't love what he'd accomplished. but that's being creative. There's nothing wrong with doing something different as long as it's done with good taste....

I've thought of going Mag. Blue with GT-S's but in the end, I thought it would be too much. I do believe they would look awesome on an IP though. If you go with it, post pics as I am really curious.

oh agreed.. but just think what I'm seeing (again from the pshop) is a bit excessive, and not the look I'm after..

Even your example was someone using moderation in their alternative color..

I believe whole heartedly in creativity, every car that is on this thread is creative in my mind because it's someone's personal expression of how they want their ride to look..

In my opinion, the blue in the car is made novelty and is clashing w/ the rims.. it takes away from the beauty of the car..

Here's some MB rims. Not over the top like the other full blue'd rims. Maybe these will help?

This thread is actually what made me start thinking about it... These are the volks I was envisioning... However, I think what makes them appealing is the contrast of the silver and blue.. Again, not excessive..

Just to entertain us.. can someone pshop this real quick.. (Very nice car by the way, too bad it was sold and demodded in '08)

Mag Blue would look sick on TB. I've seen them on a San Marino Blue Z, and it looks fantastic.

I saw the gray ones.. I think that'd be sicker on a TB... Love the contrast.
