Crappy Chrome Sevas....:)

So I know how Sevas are looked at around here but with a Son on the way I couldnt afford to drop 3G's on wheels. So call this a cop out or get what I pay for but I like em. Total cost was like 400 (since I sold my stock wheels). Most of the problems with sevas came from the S22 or S55. I dont remember reading about S-Stars having problems so "HOPEFULLY" I'll be ok.

Anyways looks clean and simple to me. Pretty much what I was going for.

For the 20 people that are about to say it...

Im dropping it in two weeks.....

"HOPEFULLY I'll be ok"

you are ready to possibly risk your family's life to save $2000? so far, the people who have had their wheels crack were traveling at a slow rate of speed. it is just a matter of time before the wheel cracks and separates while traveling at high speeds.

best of luck. those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it.

While I know what you are trying to say, Please refrain from involving my family in any of your assumptions. Seeing as you know nothing of my current car / transportation or family. This is one vehicle that I posted to show. Bringing my family or implying that I am some how less of a responsible person to them based on a wheel purchase for ONE of our vehichles that I will probable only keep for the next year seems a bit to much.

There is plenty of people that have had thier wheels for YEARS and have done fine. I dont even plan on having the car for that long. So it's not "just a matter of time before it cracks at high speed". There is 1000 other scenarios that "can" happen.

But thank you for the well wishes of luck.

With a son on the way as you said, it's hard to understand why you'd want to put wheels on your car that are widely known for cracking. If the budget is too tight, or there's hardly any money for items like wheels, then why buy wheels at all? I don't get it...

i have the beat the hell out of a set of stars and they show no signs of fatigue. Not saying its impossible but I have not seen much structural related incidents with that model.

They look nice! Too bad Sevas aren't reliable. I would even be interested in some if they were. They have simple yet clean and classy designs.

You have stone interior on black too....... How much do you hate it? I feel like there's a very small group of us black/stone combos.

Which is why I stated about not knowing about my current situation. Have you ever tried putting in a car seat in and out of a G coupe. How about a stroller in that trunk. I have a travel system which alone in hard enough to get in and out of....

Do you see the Lincoln in the reflection of the coupe. There is a scion (4 door) back there as well. This car being a weekend car has never had (I have a 2 year old daughter as well) and probably never will (since I intend on getting rid of it in probab less than a year when we relocate for work) one of the children in it. For the only reason that it would be the biggest pain in the *** to move car seats and baby things in and out of. I chose not to spend 2-3 G's because yes I could use that money for something that is going to last a little longer than what I plan to keep the car for. There is more cases by far of Sevas not breaking than Sevas breaking. And I have yet to see many (if any) case of the S-Star being one of those.

If people want to flame me for buying in their eyes a cheap set of wheels or being dumb for doing so I dont care. This is the Internet after all. Just don't attack me on a personal level and mention my family. I am more than capable of taking care of them and don't need some car guys telling me I am somehow an unfit father for buying a set of wheels. Like I said 1000 other scenarios can happen.

You kidding me I love it. It stays pretty clean since I dont drive it to often so it still has a great color to it. But I love the contrast.
