do you have any excess paint? If so, couldn't you test it out on one rim and see how it comes out? worst comes to worst, you can still buy new rims and you haven't messed up much =]

Well its not as simple as "how long to wait" because I spray five different clears daily. One clear I can buff in two hours and one clear I like to wait 24 hours. On a good clear 12-24 hours is best to me. 6-8 is to soon and you can get "die back" and after a couple days the clear gets really hard and sands great but it takes longer to buff. But I just want to say that these are the numbers I have found that work for me with the clears I like to spray, and those are the I-Car recommended times as well.
