Still in shock
Hey guys im new here, well new to infinit's. I Sold my 1999 Honda Civic Si not too long ago, and i've been looking around.Well long story short I took a deal I cudn't pass up, my parents offered me the g35 and just took the money I made from my previous car. It's a 2004 G35 fully loaded, wheat interior automatic very low miles. I have a couple plans for this car, but what can i do to strengthen the transmission? and possibly make the trib a little more responsive? Welcome to comments both positve and negative.

For shifts on an AT people have been noticing quicker and cleaners shifts by using a grounding kit. Go for one that isn't from ebay.
There are two vendors here. Gordgee and SXeXcX I believe both sell them.
I may be mistaken since its been a while.
Welcome.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Also look into the HR y-pipe. Better sound and, amazingly, crisper shifts. Don't ask me how it works, but it does. Made a big difference on my car.
Where did you find this HR y-pipe that you speak of?
I don't think you'll need to strengthen the transmission until/unless you really increase the horsepower. From what I've read, short of a valve body upgrade, grounding gear is one way to crispen up the shifting.
The new car is MUCH nicer, IMO.

Def congrats on the new car, and if you're serious about strengthening the tranny and getting better shifts out of it look into the Stillen Valvebody upgrade. Another member on here got it some time ago and the car still shifts like a beast, as well as taking abuse from a large number of mods coming on and off all the time. It maybe a bit pricey, but it's better than dumping a couple grand to replace your slushbox once it dies (know this from personal experience on my Prelude!)
