Just trying to get some opinions...

Hey guys, I'm not in the market at this moment to get wheels, but do plan on making a change eventually. I may just hold out and get a really nice set of aftermarket forged wheels since I have some time, but I've been playing around with the idea of new the 370Z 19" Rays. I haven't really searched, but I don't know if anyone has tried running these on a G coupe yet...but I could be wrong...(EDIT: and I am wrong, I found a guy with a set on a black coupe running 20 mm spacers all around...I like it!)

Personally I think they're sexy and have an aggressive face on them. Some people feel "eh" about them, but I was thinking, these are forged and lightweight, they come staggered in a 19 x 10, 19 x 9 setup (which is what I'm looking for) and I could get them for little over a grand for a set versus $3,000+ on a good aftermarket set. I'm not really considering heavy cast wheels as an option so yes, forged is what I want. The offsets on these aren't ideal for an aggressive staggered setup, but quick math tells me the rears will be pretty much flush with the face coming out 28mm more than my stock 17s (19 x 10, +30) and if I add a 25mm spacer up front, I will have a similar outcome there as well (19 x 9, +47 ).

Just wanted to see what you guys thought about this route. I've attached a quickie photoshop of my car with the 370Z wheels on it to give you an idea...

They look good. Pretty angular for G, but they seem to work on the 370. Where you at? Theres a guy selling a set with tires for $1800 in Calgary.

A better man than I... I bought coupe 19's because they were light, stripped them, sent them to the powder coaters, haven't gotten them back yet and am already trying to replace them.

The rears wont be that flush, they will still tuck in quite a bit, 19x10+20 isnt even that flush, if you want flush on the those wheel sizes you need to go with 19x10+10 and 19x9+5. The OEM 370Z offsets are super high compared to ours, so the fronts will tuck and probably rub or have interference with the suspension. You'd had to put at least a 25mm spacer on them to get them close to flush.

The G will swallow wheels!

If you want strong lightweight wheels for around $1500, look into Enkei, AME, Work or Forgestar. All four companies produce large wheels in the 20-25-lbs which isn't that bad considering their cost. Besides I dont think the new Z wheels were that light like the OEM-Rays 19 for the G's. Used aftermarket wheels with tires are always a great deal so keep looking in my opinion and stay away from poor fitting OEM wheels.

If you want to see how these wheels look on a coupe, here is my car for you to get an idea. I love the way they came out, and get a lot of compliments. I am not a big fan of aftermarket. I have 20mm Spacers all around, for the rears I had to roll the fenders with the spacer on. Without the spacer you wont have to. For the front you definitely need a spacer, otherwise they will sit too far in. Maybe in the future I will change the front spacer's to 25mm go have them flush a little more. I am not dropped yet buy will be dropped on Eibach Pro-Kit soon. Here is the link hopefully I help you in some way.

LOL, that's funny because your car is the one I was referencing in my OP for the one I found on another G forum...looks good! I am also a fan of the OEM 19s (G's or 350's) because for the money, you aren't going to find better quality forged rims in that size (with tires)...plus I think they look great from the factory. Thanks for the link!

lol, Nice!

Like I said I love the way it looks, and you are right for the price you can't find a better quality set.

Look at the page once in a while as I update the progress. I am going to drop on Pro-Kit soon, but I am taking off the wheels for winter in bout a week so those pix won't be up for a bit. But I can't wait to see how they will sit after the drop.

Thanks.
-Felix.

For now I decided to leave them the way they are since they are really fresh with no curb rash or anything. Once they will have some rash/rock chips and such then I will probably think bout either black or gun metal.
The cardomain people are crazy, most of them have freaking ricers, and they don't pay attention to ****, they just comment to get comments and ratings back .
