Improved Engine Cover!

So I never really cared for the color scheme so I decided to paint it to my liking. I was trying to get as close to a professional paint job with rattle cans, and I think I did pretty well. Here the quick version of what I had to do.

Sand 100-220 grit (dry)
Filling Primer
Wet sand 400 grit
Paint 6-8 coats (Gloss)
Wet sand 1000 grit
Paint 4 coats
Wet sand 2000 grit
Polish out the wet sand marks
Applied red vinyl pin striping
Clear (High Heat Engine Enamel)

Now I just finished clearing last night and still need to wet sand (2000 grit) and polish it back to a near perfect shine but its almost there and all my prior wet sanding yielded a very smooth finish with very little of the orange peal look so just a quick sand and polish should leave it near prefect. The bolts are temporary until my Gallery Fresh hardware arrives, Type 6S in red. I'm still undecided but I may do the emblem in black chrome, suggestions? Anyway enough rambling on with the pics, let me know what you guys think.

Saw this on ebay for $19 shipped and had to have it and surprisingly its a pretty quality piece.

Would the heat from engine effect the paint in any way like maybe short or long term?

I would have gone with a matte finish. Maybe even saving some time and effort by just getting a G35 sedan engine cover.

It shouldn't be a problem, I used the same paints on the cover of my old maxima and it never peeled or bubbled even after 20k.

Yup JDM bat cover's on the way and both will get the same paint job, I just have to figure out where I'm gonna put the pin striping. I'm thinking just the + and - and around the inside edge of the access door.
