This is unacceptable. I would be pretty upset if this had happened to me. Taking photos at the body shop for the purpose of documenting the work is one thing. Driving it to another location, without first asking you, for a purpose other than body work they were supposed to perform is not cool. What if something had happened to or from the shoot location? I would never go back to that shop again; it’s an issue of trust.

Your car looks great, but that is totally unprofessional not to mention unethical. I'm glad I don't live in SD and have to worry about accidentally taking my car to them, although posting up the name of the place so others in your area don't have them driving their cars around all over would be nice I think.

That sounds like a weird situation but at least your car is ok and no harm was done. I still think they should of asked but what can you do.

Received this reply from the Owner:

"As far as talking to the customers before taking the cars out for pictures, I*distinctively*remember telling you that I had planned on taking pictures of your car. I would never take a customers car out without asking."

well the thing is I honestly dont remember having this conversation with him.
I'm pretty sure I would remember if he said he was gonna do a full spread Photoshoot of my car and take it out to a location.

I'm kinda over it. W/e.

I'd rather not say. Aside from this incident they were top notch.
Always updated me on the status and obviously does great work.

The point of this thread wasn't to bash on them (which is why I never mentioned the name) but just "WTF" if you know what I mean.

Hmmmm. Well I do work in Escondido but I took my lunch around 8 and def took the 15 to 78 home but at ~1130pm. Maybe someone else with the same bodykit and exhaust setup?

I know right! I def want a full shoot with rolling shots from either Marcus or Calvin when I'm done with the exterior.
