Finally painted the grill
Took me 2 tries. The 1st time came out like ***, I kept hoping it would get better. But my problem was that I rushed it and didn't wait long enough between coats AND applied way too much. So the next day I had to get paint remover and do a painful process of starting from scratch with a clean surface that had previously been primed and painted with several coats, then clean, dry, sand it, etc... Luckily, the paint remover did a good job and I really took my time this 2nd time. I think I'm a pro now lol. Primed with quick dry sandable black primer, a few coats of black gloss, and a few coats of clear. End result:
(my car is FILTHY, it'll look even better once I get my car detailed and waxed)

Thanks! If you do it, learn from my mistakes - light coats at first, take your time.
I've already ordered and paid for these, should arrive any day now:

For the emblem, I would suggest taping off and lining up the front/top face side of the emblem so you can paint the inner top side (hope this makes sense). Just go from edge to edge.
This way when you look at the emblem, you dont see all that chrome on the top/inside of the emblem piece... youve painted it black
Just the minor details like that make a huge difference
Nice job overall though... wash and LOTS of wax next

xdEnbOyx - good post
WTF?? - Yah I was thinking about doing that... But it's really minor, might be worth it. Pretty simple to do though. Thanks.
There's tons of pollen in the air now too, you can see it on that car next to me. Now that I've been driving around for about a week with the new grill, it blends right in lol. Weather's been too off and on to get a detail lately.
But don't worry guys, a full detail is in order when I get back from vacation in June.

Looks good. Clear and wet sand then polish will set it off. Thats what I did to mine and it looks like it came from the auto body shop!

I finished with 3 coats of clear coat... so you say its safe to wet sand that and it won't remove the clear? I assume like a 2000 grit paper? I'll do this after I get my car cleaned lol.
