Progress Thread: DarksideG35

Well after owning my G for about a year now, i finally decided that it is about time that i made a progress thread to show how much the car has come along since the first day that i bought it. Ive always wanted a G35 and eventually ended up trading in my 350z and picked up an 04 DG Coupe. All comments/criticism/questions are welcome

I started off by installing my x02 exhaust, cosmic blue wheels, and hotchkis sways that i had left over from my 350z. Also got the windows tinted and debadged the trunk

finally got around to painting my grill black and removing the door moldings off the side of the car to clean everything up

The car stayed like this for a little bit while i was waiting for my shocks/new rotors and pads to show up. Installed Tokico HP Blues with Tanabe GF210 springs all from the 350z.

I decided that i needed to pay a little bit of attention to the interior of the vehicle so i ordered a Momo shift **** and double din dash kit and installed my kenwood screen into the car.

The car was coming along nicely so i eventually moved under the hood of the vehicle and started with some small dress up modifications as well as adding a polished z tube, rare jdm engine cover, and NRG strut bar.

With the car moving along nicely, i went back to the exterior of the car and removed the ironing board spoiler and added a 06-07 oem style spoiler and also picked up a n1 style front lip for the car.

As we continue down the road, I decided that i wanted to keep on going with the exterior of the vehicle and picked up a Strafe trunk and a pair of fiberglass impul sideskirts. And also swapped out the x02 exhaust for a nismo exhaust off of an 08 350z.

With the exterior looking good, i went back under the hood yet again and decided that it was time for a major overhaul and to do some more polished parts. I still need to do a full wire tuck but that will come down the road eventually

Picked up a polished plenum, polished tb, plenum spacer, and a polished injen cold air intake

so the car stayed in this form for a few months and i finally decided that it was time to switch up the look of the vehicle for 2011 so i had the rear fenders rolled and picked up a set of 19x9.5/10.5 +12 step lip varrstoen 1.1.2 wheels and was pretty happy with the new look of the vehicle.

here are a few of the test fit pics while i was waiting for my tires to show up

Well after a couple of days of waiting the tires finally came in and i went with falken 452 in 245/35 and 275/35.

And then i went and took some at a parking garage and snapped a couple of pics of the new wheels as well as the new blacked out headlights all installed

After all of that was done i got tired of the nismo exhaust after a couple months and ordered an Exotic Speed R1-T PWR exhaust and this thing sounds amazing

And finally the major change for 2011 begins! i picked up a poly kuruma z front bumper, poly impul sides and a chargespeed rear bumper as well as an SL hood. as well as a rear strut bar for the trunk

Everything waiting in my garage for the hood to show up before heading off to paint

Rear strut bar installed in the trunk

And so it begins:
Test fit of all of the new body parts installed on the car

oh i know, im saving up for a set of coils right now so i can get it all dialed in down the road eventually but in the mean time i might just do the rear spring mount mod to drop the back end a little bit more
