Hey guys its been a while since I posted, but progress on the swap has been made.
Decided on the companies that will be doing the engine machining work.
Sending my bottom to be disassembled checked and cylinder walls honed by TEF in Riviera beach (best machinist of LS in Fla), heads are being sent to Advanced Inductions in Ohio to be bored and polished, and they are doing a matching cam, typ their setups do 430-450. Im not looking for max numbers, but that is pretty cool and I got a buch more mods that will help as well (intake, lt headers, 3in duals, fast 102mm manifold ported by vengeance racing, 102 throtle body, great tuner)
Took the time yesterday to disassemble the block to prep the bottom and heads to be sent out:
Also ordered a Relentless Motorsports 3 point Strutbar, the only one known to make a significant impact on flex on the front end by itself. Im excited for the handling improvements.
Quick pic of the G sitting outside work

Its not just a corvette bud, and part of that is the reason.
The LS based engine comes in a series of cars so theres a ton of them out there (mine is from a cadillac cts-v, also comes in the c5 corvette z06s. Ls1s come in everything lol, lq9 a bunch of trucks, ls2 gtos, camaros, ls3 camaros, etc). They are reliable, cheap and very easy to maintain, make ridic na power (looking at 450), are light, and good on gas. Then if you're not happy you can change cam for 500 or add a sc for 3k and not build anything and youre at 600-700 hp. Also the parts are all interchangeable so you have multi dimensional sources to go thru. Really the only thing american cars had gotten right prior to the new C7, IMO, are their V8s. Also huge and cheap aftermarket. Porting the heads will yield me 30-40 hp for $1k. Just an example.
I have been in inumerous fi vqs, from supercharged to single to tt to built tt and then I took a ride on a LS2 g35 and its a totally different beast.
Unfortunately, FI VQs are fickle, comsume a lot of gas and have overheating problems.
Ive gone through 2 fi vqs and know that it is not the solution im looking for, for a DD w huge power under the curve. I have gone past the capabilities of the G platform in many aspects, and instead of ditching the car and getting a beamer, i stuck to it and Im taking it to the next level of modding.

Soooo guys bad/good news!
I made the horrible mistake of drivng a C6 Z06 and within minutes I have decided to part and sell the G, the LS swap parts, and get a '11 Grand Sport (it's pretty much a track ready C6 with the regular LS3, which is boost happy hehehe. It comes with Z06 widebody kit/dry sump oil pan/Z06 brakes/upgrade suspension components, but retains the steel frame that allows the targa top - Z06, although 80 lbs lights, are fixed roof).
Grandsport model, same color I'm looking at:
Parting out the G, and selling the LS parts (well not all of them lol o oh it already started).
If you are local, I will give a good price on exhaust and seats. The rest can be shipped!
