Washed the Skyline

Im a skyline 350gt owner in the UK and read the first 20 odd pages so forgive me if im repeating something from page 42
The OP has made some correct points but has spoilt that with some wrong facts.
The wrong bits,
Germany and Europe never got the 350gt so any cars here are imported from Japan and are RHD, if there is any 350gt's in germany that are LHD then they were for the US market and would have the G35 touches ie; clock, cruise etc.
Europe doesn't use paint colour codes to name certain models.
The right bits,
He is correct that the G35 is a Skyline 350gt . Nissan japan intended it to be this but when they asked the US to sell it, the retailers in the US decided they couldn't sell a Datsun/Nissan for $???? so came up with the Toyota plan and asked Nissan to rebadge it as a Infiniti G35 so it could be sold as a luxury brand (most of you know this). They also had optional extras like cruise control fitted as standard but you lost the reversing tilting wing mirrors i believe.
It really is irrelevant what is written on your car documents because those names were only put there so Americans would buy it.
So in a nutshell you all are already driving a rebadged car but im guessing most of you will still flame me.
Also he is right in that putting a Skyline badge on the car doesn't add anything to the car in a ricer way as its only a skyline gt not gtr and like previous skyline gt ( Grand Turismo ) models was never built for drag racing, they were just for cruising long distances at a good speed and in a certain comfort that most sports cars never offered and i think it crosses most boxes in them areas.
Carry on

But if you think about it, our g35s aren't "rebadged", they are just badged as Infiniti G35 for the US market. Yes they are made mostly the same, but its still not a JDM Skyline 350GT. Rebadging is flaunting something you don't have, and therefore I think is stupid. To each their own I guess.

If everyone really wants to get over technical, we are also driving Renaults. Some pieces in the car are stamped Renault on them, I had found some plastic pieces a long time ago that said Renault, and I didn't realize at the time that Renault and Nissan had a small merger. Figured that out a long time later

The real question is what is the plural form of Infiniti? haha

They moderate here too. they just know how to have fun and enjoy themselves like normal people, instead of acting like soulless robots.
