Cmac296, 05 Athens Blue Coupe

Been lurking around this forum since I got my G35 in march. All mods were done by the previous owner, thankfully everything was tasteful in my opinion haha. Finally got around to taking some pics and figured I'd make a thread for my car.

05 Athens Blue Coupe
List of Mods:
Turbonetics Single Turbo. 5psi.
Megan exhaust.
TransGo Shift Kit.
1 inch drop.
20in Vossen CV2's 245/35 front 275/30 rear.

Impul side skirts.
Slotted/vented rotors
5% tint in the back and rear windows.
NISMO Carbon fiber rear diffuser.
Black vinyl roof.
12 in alpine type R subwoofer.

Glad to be a member of this forum. Let me know what you guys think!

Very clean. Simply sexy. Appeases my tastes as well. I'd remove some of the trunk mess (letters/numbers/emblem) but no biggie. Grats on your purchase and I hope you're enjoying your G at least half as much as I've enjoyed mine over the years :-D

Thank you for your comment! I have been going over the idea in my head of debadging the rear and leaving the mt fugi emblem, but I'm not fully set either way yet.

Oh yes very much, Im afraid I dont have a complete list of the supporting mods for the turbo. And although I've read countless posts of people having issues with the Turbonetics turbo, I have to say I have not had a single issue with it. Initially there was some minor compressor surge, but i tweaked the BOV to resolve that. I know the Turbonetics kit was revised a number of times, and the one on my car is the most recent revision. Its a blast to drive though, my friend has an N/A g35 which I've driven and its night and day, haha.

The only thing I don't like about your car is the rear apron/valence/whatever you call it. I think I would like that much more if it were the wonderful Athens blue or even black. But CF kinda kills it for me.

Overall, the car is spotless. Those wheels look REALLY good on that car.

Oh, and are the front windows tinted at all? I think cars look odd with blacked out rear windows and not so blacked out front windows.

i'd say remove that rear wing and the emblems on the rear....put some spacers on (maybe like 10mm front and rear) and yeah i'd remove the diffuser too and paint the valence black

Thank you to everyone for the comments! Although I can see why some would not like the wing/carbonfiber in the back Im actually a fan of them, so I think their both gonna stay (or at least until I get bored and want to change things up abit ) May clean up the emblems in the back, gonna make some photoshops to compare from various angles to see if ill like the cleaner look better.

Next thing I plan to focus on is lighting, probably gonna swap out to 06-07 headlight and maybe tail lights (not decided yet) and probably go with 5k HIDS. Also swapping license plate lights, side markers, and clearance strip lights with some cool white leds.

Took a few more pics over the last week or so, nothing too different, swapped out the clearance strip, license plate lights and side markers for cool white leds. Might debadge the infiniti and g35 emblems today, still on the fence. Enjoy! (also was forced to put on the front license plate because i was getting harassed by cops, a little bit pissed, but it is what it is)
