Thanks Invalid, much appreciated. Yeah 'old school' is right, I joined this forum over nine years ago in Nov of 2003 and am still the first and original owner of her. Finally getting her a built motor now and hope to have her for another 200K miles.

Her show days are over now (winner 2008 HIN Phx street class, NOPI and others) and I am removing the trunk set up in favor of better handling currently...

Still love her to this day...

For what it's worth, there's no reason to do a z6 wipe down if you're
going to follow it up with z8, just wasting product.

See that reflection in the 1st pic? ... It's never a waste of product in my minds eye, and yeah, I actually can tell the difference especially on a dark color such as TB / black. It seems to add another level of depth... Plus, I just like the way it feels when ya rub a microfiber towel then a cloth diaper over her skin, there is nothing like it.

I saw the reflection but my point is you'll get the same reflection at that angle or any angle if you just use z8 too. I've detailed more dark cars than you can fathom so just trying to help save you some product that doesn't need to be used.

Great pics man! Ever thought about putting some spacers on there to bring the rims out to be a bit more flush to the fenders since the rim offsets are +17/+18 ......just a thought??

Actually I have thought about it but honestly spacers freak me out for some reason... I have a fear about driving down the highway and seeing one of my wheels passing me by. The rear are actually pretty flush, it's the front with the flared fenders that are sunk in a tad. I am having an engine built at the moment but when I get her back on the road I'll be getting coilovers and then I may take a look at some spacers if I can convince myself that they are safe.

By "Old School" they're probably referring to your Veilside winglets. I posted some pic of SLICK on FB and was accused of doing photoshop. It was just the results of 8 hours with clay, buffer and Zymol Concourse wax. A sunny in SoCal when the pic was taken helped too....Gary
