I was quite surprised at how much better it looked by just adding the stripes. Can't wait to see what you do with the brakes.

 

Yoo mann, I love it the more I look at it! It looks mean and track type. I would suggest going White on the Brembos, itll stand out. I love the stripes, the wheel color and everything. I wanna see the final product! Nice job man.

 

I like it. I know how u feel. I now got my 05 silver sedan lookin g. Black wheels,lowered,tint,wrapped handles and dipped mirrors and grills. Different is better.

I think its interesting how divided everyone is on the stripes, more so than the wheels. I have had one person who absolutely hated the wheels and liked my previous set better. Then I put the stripes on and he has done a complete 180 and says he loves it now.


As for dropping it more, its probably not going to happen. Its dropped almost an inch on just S-tech coils. I would go more and do coil overs but it is my daily driver and I can't lose any more travel and make it any stiffer to compensate. My fiance gets extremely car sick and is on the edge of vomiting as it it.

Brakes aren't changing much. Just DBA rotors and Project Mu pads. If I was to powdercoat the calipers another color it would just be gray. I had planned on doing that at first because of the orange vs gold but after a while I liked them being gold. The wheels have a slight metallic color change in the sun and they look like they have a gold metal flake in it when you see them in person.

Edit: OP, your brembos cannot be seen under those rims, no matter what color you paint them.

 

And I wish pompous *******s would just move on and buy a different car if they think this way. However you might be surprised to know that I am considerably older than your first guess, and as I have gotten older am more likely to do something this wild. I would have never done something like this back in high school. Even if my parents were well off enough to pay for unnecessary things like this car, I wouldn't have even considered this, I would have followed the other sheep and stuck to the norm. This is a mature realization that I don't care what others think. I do everything for me. I only posted this because I know some people will like it. 90% will hate it but that is okay with me. Many of those who hate it still enjoy seeing it because its laughable to them.

Well, you definitely won't be mistaken for anyone else I suppose. I mean, there's like a million different things you could've done to accomplish the same thing, but as long as you are happy about the choices you've made with the car, that's all that matters.

 

TBH this car looks hideous, actually absolutely poverty, bro. And by bro i mean never my bro. NOTHING about vinyl stripes looks good, especially on a classy car such as a G. Questions...WHY did you stop at stripes?? Why not put on some NASCAR numbers? maybe some sponsors too?? Just some thoughts here..
