I would either paint it full IP, or leave the lip CF and paint the rest IP, like this. Not a huge fan of large CF parts on a G.

What do you mean by "bottom part IP"?

If you had your roof painted/wrapped black, I think it would match better than an IP roof if you had a CF trunk or hood. But I think that these cars are too classy to just have large carbon fiber parts on them. It can be pulled off but color matched is my personal preference.

If I had carbon fiber parts, I'd color match most of it and only leave a little of it CF. Like how JDM Cain did his trunk (last post), or like how SDGenius did his CF hood.

I meant as in run the full top portion of the car(trunk, roof, hood) carbon fiber/black while the rest is white.. im not so sure how it would look though lol

If you search through the thread for IP cars only, there's probably a car that would look similar to yours should you do that scheme.

Paint the trunklid IP like the rest of your G35, I dislike when our cars end up looking like "Grandma's Patchwork Quilt!"

I actually like the way mine came out. I had it done over 3 years ago.

i would paint it... I also have an IP car & looking to get this type of trunk.
Like said above, it keeps it classy and luxurious. I also do not like the black on the trunk, roof, hood look. its... MEH!

^its not just keeping it luxurious and classy, any car whether its a nice Benz or a cheap @$$ civic, unless it is a dedicated track car it shouldn't have a ton of carbon fiber **** all over it.

If you go with a black roof,
PAINT the roof black.
PAINT the trunk IP
& DONT run the cf hood.
If you must show off the cf, leaving the lip of the trunk cf is pretty cool and subtle especially with some other cf accents like perhaps cf vents in a Nismo front or a cf Nismo diffuser just to tie it together.

If you like the way the carbon fiber looks, then leave it. I mean, what's the point of buying a cf trunk if you're just going to paint it. You could have saved some $ buying a fiberglass hd trunk and painted it. I have a ton of cf on my car because I love the weave. I also like the panda look, I sometimes regret getting another OB rather than IP. I would recommend getting the trunk re-cleared if you plan on keeping it a long time. But you could wait until the clear starts to fade, it looks pretty shiny in the pic.
