Ok update. I finally sold my old car so i have money now. Im getting the door locks fixed, im gonna put in a double din radio and a sub(using the jdm not metra trim kit), and im moving on to exterior. Since the car is red, black really accents well with it so im thinking get the gtr overlays from bluebat, get the rims painted black, paint the grille and leave the emblem to break it up, and im trying to decide whether i also want to paint the spoiler mirrors and possibly door handles( mirrors and door handles to offset the amount of black on the rear of the car), and the emblems on the tailgate, i dont like the debadged look, never really got it. So what do yall think? Im going to avoid plastidip as much as possible cause i wanna do this right.
You can have a nice looking car and it not look rice. what I'm wanting to do is very tasteful I think. Because I was curious I whipped up a couple pics in the ole photoshop to see how it would look.

and finally with the spoiler, door handles, and mirrors. we all know there is a very fine line between rice and tuner and it all has to do with how you go about doing these things and the quality of your work.(no im not saying my car is a tuner, its almost entirely stock right now but it will get there lol performance parts aren't cheap )
That looks not so good mang, it looks way better the way it is than to do hideous things like that to it... Just lower it some and put spacers on it and that'd be a Wayyyy better look than those ugly a$$ pics...
it does look a little much I agree. that why i made them lol so i could see what it would look like. not rice but not as good as i thought it would look lol. i dont think ill ever lower my car, not without air ride so i can just have it lowered for photos and meets and what not.
The ultimate rice is painting stock parts to make the car appear modified.
does that include plasti-dipping the black rails above the doors because the plastic is rotted off? im almost entirely against plastidip but idk what else to do about them lol
Depends, are u plastidipping the "rails" to make it appear modified? If not then it falls under maintenance/repair. But what u really should be doing is replace it or paint it
Totally understand where your coming from, that's just one of the cars in my decision to get away from looking like an a$$hat, the things these kids nowadays and what other peeps are doing to these nice Gs makes me sick and not so happy to own one. I still love mine in all, but just don't want to be that guy...
