Rear diffuser on G35 coupe

here’s some photos of the top secret style diffuser. I made my own brackets and hardware to mount it outrageously sturdy. I hit 100 just to see what would happen and it’s still here.

I might just add to this thread to keep you guys posted on the progress.

Current mods,
intake plenum spacer
cold air intake
headers
test pipes
dual exhaust with x pipe
z1 rear diff mounts
eibach pro street by kw coilovers
rear camber arm
rear traction arm
Jim wolf tech flywheel/ exedy clutch kit/ stainless line
led corner lights
kunmari or something like that front bumper
large powersteering cooler
PBM steering angle kit lower parts only
UPREV tuned
18x9.5 18x10.5 245 all around rear tires will be changed soon to larger ones

If it wasn't heresy to not know the name of one of the most common bumpers for a G I would have lol'd.....It's a Karuma Z. Kunmari or something

But on a serious note the car's looking great and I really like the diffuser: unique, a little over the top but fits your build perfectly. Well done sir!

Thanks! I was such a jdm option video and Best motoring nerd growing up so I appreciate the aggressive style. Heavy duty suspension and simple engine mods seem to be a trend with driven cars in Japan so I picked up on that as well.

Thanks for the compliments though! I know this style isn’t for everyone!

I'm there with you man on the Best Motoring and Option influences.

Your car is setup very similar power wise to my 2003 6mt coupe so I can understand the decision to go up in rear tire size soon. I'm on 255/45/18 rear with a 10.5 wheel and can turn the tires almost too easily sometimes. 275/40/18 is my next step I think. I like the 245 fronts you are running too. The G is a heavy car in the nose and more footprint up front is better I'm sure.

only suggestion I have is maybe black out the bottom of the rear bumper support so it disappears...but otherwise, clean functional build.

OP I know you've got some pics of this sturdy mounting you did. Post them too.

I'm finishing my own diffuser crafted from the cf hood of a 92 civic. It's on the car, and it's been 100+ so I guess it's good... but I'm definitely adding more stabilization..

EPiK I’ve been meaning to paint that bar black for so long Ive been slacking on taking it off for a good paint spray! I also considered replacing it with the bash bar from street faction engineering to totally remove it from view.

I need to hop hop over and check out your car! That carbon bit has my interest!

Thanks for looking guys! I’ll have more to add soon let me know if you guys want pictures of anything else in the meantime!

Those span over a decade and are not in any order. You can also tell most of those photos are in the same spot as the G35 ones! Like I said I live at work 😛

Great looking LR coupe Danny! Noticed the scrapes on bottom of your KurumaZ bumper, looks like mine!

GaryC I lowered it too much when I got the coils originally! But the scrapes make you feel ok about driving the car!!
