Custom Modified '05/'06 OEM 19s
Does anyone know if it would be possible to have the '05/'06 OEM 19s modifed to have larger "lips"
? I was thinking there might be a way to cut the center out and weld it to a wider "dish" so that you could go from FR 225/40-19 and RR 245/40-19 to FR 265/30-19 and RR 285/40-19.
I really like the OEM wheels but just wish they had more lip and were wider to fill in the fender wells better.
Let me know if you know of anyone I can ask about this.

this is impossible imo. you'll take away the integrity and strength this forged wheel has. it would be nice though. you might be able to find a similar styled wheel with labia's through another manufacturer though.
look into:
Work
Rays (oem manufacturer)
Racing Hart (not RH Pro; Dazz)

The OEM is at least a two piece wheel, right? I'll see if I can find anything out from Rays. Does anyone know the part numbers for the FR and RR wheels off hand?

if it was multi piece, it would cost hella much $$$ because of the pad design on the OEM's. it won't be able to just bolt/weld up to any barrel width. only specific one's that are Tested by Ray's.
still, Impossible. if there was a company that does this, they would fold for good.
Ray's (Volk Racing 1pc. forged models):
The Volk Racing TE37 by RAYS Engineering is the current line of street and race wheels in various versions. The main line TE37 is the forged aluminum version.
Material is 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. This material is hot forged. 1st forging process is done with pressure of 5,000 kilograms per square centimeter. 2nd forging process is a slow process with 3,500 kilograms per square centimeter.
The lip is also forged to 3,500 kilograms per square centimeter. This allows the wheel to have less material than other wheels, but have more strength and durability.
The wheel's excess material is machined off (to tolerance of 1/100 of a millimeter). Powder coating and clear coating is done by a special proprietary process to ensure long lasting quality and durability.
The weight of Volk Racing TE37 is 8 lbs. for 15 x 6.5 and 16 lbs. for 18 x 8.5. With this kind of lightness and durability, it is no surprise to see that this wheel is a very coveted wheel among enthusiasts.

I wish they were 2 piece.
I wouldn't try it. Like others have said there are similar wheels on the market, The PIIA Super Rozza or the Work Meister S2R are my personal favorites. I too would like a wider, say 9.5 rear on the OEM 19's but not enough to kill the strength and integrity of a very nice forged wheel. Not to mention myself
