my comprehensive deductible is 500 so i'm just gonna pay out of pocket so my premiums don't go up

Not too too bad considering the size animal you hit. My raccoon accident cost my insurance co. $2,600 (I have a $500 deductible)...I needed a new headlight as well which drove the price up a bit. Good luck w/ the repair.

ouch. i seen deers do some damage but i never heard of a coyote damage.

That great that they wanna charge a ton, get two more high estimates like that and then ask for a PAYOUT. They will subtract your $1500 deductable and you are left with $700 for a new afermarket bumper. Thats all you needs, you can live with a few tiny scratches that will never be seen again with a new bumper. They have to give you a payout, its easy as asking
