Did you notice anything different with the coupe middy? Sounds sweet!

Thanks man! I already had the coupe middy on before I got the HKS so it was hard to tell if I noticed a difference. But I am sure it did chance the exhaust note for the better

Well, I have an 03 and I heard 05 and 06 models, when paired with a coupe middy, it doesn't do much at all. the 03/04 sedan midpipe resontator is HUGEEEE and I think the 05/06's are a little smaller so switching to a coupe middy on your sedan wouldn't do much.

lol me too! Let's do it!

Sorry to hijack man but I'm trying to think of anything else that can enhance the sound of this exhaust. Anyone got any ideas? Any aftermarket midpipes or y pipes reccommended?? I heard the Y pipes make it real raspy, but I would like to hear one paired with this exhaust. Any suggestions???

I got the exhaust from a local shop I've been going to for years, unfortunately they don't have a website. However, I can direct you to Riverside Infiniti's website.

HKS makes a Y pipe. I think the problem with most mid-pipes is the 2.25 into 3 necked down to 2.5 causes the rasp. The HKS is 2.25 into 2.5 so it matches with the stock exhaust. One thought is to contact HKS and see if the Legamax coupe mid pipe would connect to the HKS rear section for a complete y pipe back exhaust.

hmm.. what would it match up to the coupe middy or is it just the different sizes in general of the y pipe?

EDIT: I get what you mean now. I would have to get the HKS Y and Mid pipe in order for it to connect right and eliminate the rasp. I'll try contacting HKS and see if all the bolts up to the HKS rear section. Thanks.... wonder how all this would sound... think it would sound good?

The y pipe will bolt directly to the coupe or sedan mid pipe, no modification needed. I don't know if there are gains from the y pipe since it is the same size as stock. The only benefit would probably be from smoother flow. The only problem I see with the Legamax mid pipe is it would probably be loud since the resonator is probably smaller than the coupe (or there might not be a resonator at all).

Nice! Mind if I ask how much it set you back and where you got it from? I'm looking for something like this but delivered to Australia.
