Mod #2- HKS Exhaust

Hey guys, so far I’ve shared with you all my first modification, Tein Basics. Now it’s off to the second mod, an HKS exhaust….

Time to remove the stock exhaust!

Side by side comparo.

Since I have an 06 Sedan and the HKS Exhaust is designed for an 03-04 Sedan, I had to remove the original bracket and replace it with 03-04 one. *Props to Marcus (CandlestickPark) for advising I needed this bracket…I didn’t realize I needed it until I compared the hangers on my stock exhaust and HKS one (See Pic Above). I was then off to Riverside Infiniti for the part….good thing it was in stock!

Perfect fit!

I’m pleased with the look and it subtlety…a stock look with a polished bling to it. As far as sound, its perfect….low mellow tone and there is no continuous drone when I’m cruising. I don’t have any sounds clips, but a couple other members had posted them on here. Here’s the link if interested.

Yup, the stock one is much heavier than the HKS one. One day I'll eventually change out the middy to a coupe one, but I'm happy for now.

Congrats on the install and nice job detailing your mod with the pics. Looks like a relatively easy install job for the DIY'er
