wasnt there some issue of after-market HIDs catching on fire or something?... I think there's even some kind of rule against certain year or aftermarket HIDs being sold on this site...
I'm not completely up to speed about headlights -so I don't remember the details... but there is something about non stock HIDs...

to each his own, i mean i took apart and painted my headlights back in 1999 on my Civic Si. Then i upgraded to JDM Type R lights (which were probably a waste of money at like $500 or so).
The look is ok, on some cars, but for the G, i say stock looks best.
to each his own though, if you like it, its is a cheap and easy way to add a personal touch to your auto.

I have the ebay headlights, they look great and fit like stock, only issues were at the beginning when it was really freezing and snowing a lot I was getting some condensation but I don't get it anymore, if u live in a warmer climate you'll have 0 problems. Overall I'm happy with them and should of bought them from the beginning rather than tried to mod my beat up OEM ones

dONT worry about them. i purchased my ebay ones like 2.5 yrs ago. They came with the ugly halogen bulbs, but i swapped them with aftermarket hid kit and currently running 7k's on them, still not a single issue. No fogging neither.
