I am running on 12k springs and when I was the lowest my arm hit the strut tower. I have not figured a way to keep it doing it. I guess just let it be.

12K as in 12,000lbs? Or is that a brand or something? I have Tanabe GF210's which have somewhat low spring rates but high enough to be relatively stiff regardless. I'm wondering how your ( everyone that's slammed ) springs rates compare. Your rides much be super harsh to keep from bottoming out I can imagine.

12k is the spring rate. Which I want to say is 500lb or alittle more. Our ride are not super harsh because our struts are valved right to keep from being harsh.

Are you guys with the banging issue running OEM or aftermarket control arms? If aftermarket, which ones?

That is odd if OEM. I had a bad case of banging but with the SPC front control arms. Are you sure you aren't bottoming out the shock instead of banging the tower?

I dunno...my car is stiff but rather confortable for how low it is. The problem is that roads down here are super screwed up and makes me weary of going to a higher spring rate.

I have the same problem. I hate it but at the same time I like being this low and I dont wanna raise my car. Gotta cut a hole in my strut tower!

Nope...the tower has marks.

But I'm looking to get AM ones for my camber kit.

I thought mine was and BC assured me it wasnt. So I looked again and low and behold I saw marks where the arm would hit the strut tower. What kind of arms do you have G35papa.

it can be your preload if it isnt set correctly i used to get a big bang when i would hit an uneven part of the road.

I'm running 350evo A-arms now and have no issues what-so-ever. My first setup was Tein CS coils and SPC 'unrevised' arms. I had knocking. I switched the arms out to the 'revised' arms and the knocking was less but still enough for me to hate it. I then switched up to Stance which has alot stiffer spring rate and still suffered from the knocking. Now, perfect, no knocking at all. I also had the visible marks.

This is the first time I've heard of OEM arms having the knocking issues. I wish you guys lived close by, I'd say come over and we can have a looksy.

One thing comes to mind.....on my Tein CS, the adjustment and spring tension use the same collars. If you go down low enough, the spring looses the pre-load and basically sits free. Over larger bumps, you will get a rattle and slight knock because the spring is actually traveling/floating. I think BC coils use a seperate adjustment collar so this is not the case for you Lumpia.
