Pic request : Slammed G35 Sedans
omg at last i know what my issue is. i've been having this knocking since march. i was on h&r and Koni shocks. now with my BC coils i still have the knocking but not like before. i'm slammed now and it does it less then when i was on the h&r's. on stock arms as well. going to check for marks to make sure its the same, but it sure sounds the same.
^that could very much be it. I think It's important to try and check em every couple months. Hitting bumps and unven roads can loosen up the adjustments, just as a safety precaution of course
yeah, I haven't had any of my previous 2 suspension setups long enough to notice anything, haha. Will be on my 5th one come this Friday. #6 needs to come soon. Anyone got a few grand they wanna donate?

knocking only comes from the front.
well, i cranked up the dampening all the way to 30 on all 4. ride is alot stiffer but not bad at all. i've riden worse. seemed to help out alot on the little dips in the road i was getting knocking from. big dips i'm still hitting. i think i need to jack the front up just a tad. streets where i live just arent good for slammed rides.
No, not necessarily. I can guarantee you that it can happen in the rear. It can possibly be that the shock needs more lubing, or something is not aligned or soemthing wrong with the top hat.
*EDIT: I see what you mean, my bad. In his case it comes from the front, I thought you meant in general knocking doesn't come from the rear. I'll still leave what I mentioned in case someone finds it useful.

I believe I figured it out. Since the awd is already higher to begin with. When we slam the car down. The A arm hits the strut tower. I think the knuckle is too long. I wonder if the coupe/z knuckle is the same size or shorter. Might have to look into it.
