Coupe midpipe on - pics and a ?
Coupe midpipe on - pics and a ?
It took a few hours thanks to two broken bolts, but I got the coupe midpipe on today and it sounds and feels awesome.
One question though - I do feel a little vibration with the new resonator against the stock shielding, is there a way around this (bending the heat shield/putting some kind of soft material in between, etc). Otherwise it's great, huge difference from stock

congrats!
I did this as well, you need to slightly bend the heat shield but not to much all you need is about 2 inch clearance.
bend it while its still on the car dont take it off.
also did you install the ring gaskets on to your coupe mid pipe ?

Cool, I'm putting a muffler and sway bars on next week and will do it then - how did you bend yours (i assume just two flatheads or pry tool)? And I did put the gaskets on. Your corners and skirts are in the mail btw
U da Man!
I just bent it with my hands and started the car . had my friend rev while looking to see if the vibratioron touched the shield.
Just be sure the whole car is up in the air , the way you did it it would be good bye MORO
just lift all of the rear only.
what sway bars you putting on ?

Hey guys -
quick question: does the coupe middy fit in the g35 sedan (for transport)? I have no other means at the moment =[
Also....any rough figures on the dimensions of the pipe?
Thank youuuuuuu.

Yup.. like g35papa said. Put down the little center arm rest in the rear and slide the midpipe through the trunk through the rear seat access from the trunk. I had to transport mine when I put mine in a year ago.
You get the z tube yet man??? It should be there very soon if you haven't

You can reuse the old gasket and bolts, but be really careful to not over-tighten/crack the gasket or warp it at all. If you're at all unsure about it throw a new one in, better to be safe than sorry.
