I did the exact same thing with a set of 17" sport rims. Widened to 17x9.5" with 275 tires.
I cut up 4 rims to make 2. Instead of welding in a strip, I actually cut each rim so they overlapped into each other so they are double welded with an overlap and are extremely strong with less chance of air leaks.

Test fitting on my 07.




When I had them on my 04 6mt.

Why are you appoligizing to me? Nat is the one with the 10" +20's...

Mine are 9.5 +28's

Slickg is running 10.5 +20 also and he's from the bay. Why boast though if your buddy is rubbing like no other?

I don't matter. Mine looks the best!! LOL 10.5's 33et 275s no cut no scrub....

And I don't care that I'm not the winner. But a 245 is cute.... For a front tire. And 10 et20 and a 10.5 et33 that's a half a mm differences.... Wow but tire size is a big difference......
