Pic Request: Tinted TB Sedans!
In old car i had full tints and I never got pulled over for it, even if I did get pulled over for something else the cop never mentioned tints.
All my tickets were while I was parked from the meter maids.
But that was back when the fine was only $25..

I've only been driving for 6 years now, but I've had tints on my cars for I'd say, 5 of those years. I was only pulled over for the first time in my Mustang just a few months ago, that was with 15% tint all the way around. I think 35% isn't really noticeable enough that a cop will pull you over for it unless you're driving like an idiot. I think it's worth the risk, but it's upto you.
+ ...as a someone who tints (worked @ a shop years ago), I've always tinted my own stuff as dark as I can. I had illegal tint for 18 years & I've gotten 1 ticket, & had a girl in another car of mine get a ticket. (2 tickets from cars owned) in that time. I have friends that have gotten 1, & it seems that the officer has just made up his/her mind that he pulling you over for that reason. I think the majority of cars tinted, are illegal. It's just a chance you take. ....but it's $80-$120 for the fine.
i have 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear glass. its nice because the front looks lighter because the windshield lets in light. at night its prefect because its hard to see in and keeps headlights out. if only we had electrochromatic side mirrors too. i got pulled over for the rear glass being too dark. not the sides, they were all down. weird. here in NYC i have no clue what the tint laws are, they have no specific laws.
Okay so I finally tinted the G 25%.
Didn't tint the fronts, wish I could have but not worth the tickets here in Chicago.
Either way I think back tints look better than no tints...

Here is mine 35% film. On the glass it reads 27%. I actually even bought a meter to check it.
MA law is 35% net all around, so i'm technically 7% illegal. So far so good (knock on wood). Personally I think it's dark enough. I wouldn't have gone any darker even if it was legal here.
