postem up... I want H&R but I havent seen very many pics...
if you have some lowering springs that arnt H&R, who gives an F post it anyways with what kind they are!!!!! I want to go from this... to lower!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! |
how low do you want to go?
i had h&r for sedans, but i have coilovers now though. but if i had to do it again, i would purchase h&r for coupe or 350z to get even a lower drop. |
No Coils Just Springs

well take a look at this picture... stock height... now imagine being able to slip just a few fingers if not just one in between the wheel well and the tip of the tire (stock rims 17'' or 18'' & tires) I am also thinking about going low pro nittio tires if it will make a look difference.
Input, Thoughts, Recommendations PLZ.... I was thinking H&R but a buddy of mine at Show Stoppers USA is pointing me towards Tein's for a big spring drop....http://showstoppersusa.com I am thinking that in order to get what I want, I am going to have to go coil overs but that isn't in the deck of cards. So if anyone who has JUST SPRINGS and it makes a noticeable difference, PLZ post PICTURES from side front and angle... if possible Thank you, and I hope I see some G's on springs!DOMO |
there's a lot of contenders out there for springs and coilovers. For the sedan, for myself, the Eibach/Teins had a weird look on the drop. It looked like the front didn't drop as much as the back. The H&R had a much better drop IMO. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
The H&R sedan, will give you a modest drop. If you want to go a little bit more, get the H&R for the coupes, and if you wanna go even more, get the H&R for the 350z. H&R is usually a bit more expensive compared to the other typical spring manufactures, even used. I'll look for my old pics. You can look at Ttrank's old pictures, he used to have H&R sedan springs before getting coilovers. |
I'm on 07 z suspension/springs with coupe springs in the rear. Gave a nice subtle drop, but really improved handling and overall look of the car. It may not be as low as you want, but it's a cheaper alternative. I would pick up some coilovers this season, but decided to sell the g and get my e46 m3. Here's some shots

One thing you may want to take into consideration is the snow factor and how low your car can be dropped.
Does anyone have pics of a X w a drop kit who lives in a snowy area? I want to drop but need to figure out what will work best for me. |
|
blt's!
Kind of a dumb question... So if I buy springs like I plan on doing maybe today are my stock shocks going to get thrashed? Also what's the bizz with spring sag?
On another note, I made a friend with someone who works at a Nissan dealership... Parts dpt... And he informed me about stock 350z parts BEING TAKIN TO THE DUMP! AHHHHH The ztube was listed as well as the Y exhaust pipe... Free instant upgrades... I'm about to B my L on some T's! |
H&r
So first off damn your car looks tits! Second I hear the h&r's are in the top two for comfort performance and value. T/f?

Tanabe DF210 Springs 03-07 G35
Has anyone heard of these? Has anyone have anything to say about these? here is the description
For the show or on the street, Dress-Up Form provides a clean aggressive drop while maintaining smooth ride quality. The DF210 line of springs enhance the appearance by lowering the vehicle 2~2 1/2in (50~60mm) without sacrificing comfort. Ride quality is improved by raising the spring rate 10~15% Note: These Tanabe performance springs feature a new Red color, and are double-powder coated for even higher durability and corrosion resistance! Drops this G35 1.7 in the front and 1.3 in the back! HIT ME UP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE PLZ!!! |

Do you need the sport suspension (which I believe are red shocks?) to use these springs?
|
no, but they will ride a bit better. might as well just get 350z shocks. or better yet after market shocks. or even better, coilovers.
|
^ +1... here's mine on full aftermarket 350Z susp - non-coilover... eibach pro-kit + tokico d-spec for Z33

sexy to see a sedan with work vs-xx :)
|
^ thanks! been wanting something different lately tho... something with coupe offsets
|
how bout your wheels in 20's with lower offsets.. that would be the envy of all.
|
^ nah... same style in different size? only if i got a good deal on them, especially in burning black, which is now discontinued
i was thinking of something more on the lines of some algernons, leon hardiritt herzogs, or volk GT30 in phantom finish.. but definitely not another set of XX |
out of those 3... Algernons please!
|
With the H&R springs for the coupe or 350z, would I be able to get the car back close to stock spec's regarding camber using the factory cam bolts?
|
My G35X with 18 inch and 20 inch staggered wheels sitting on Eibach Sportline springs... no longer have car' itls SOLD
