naughty240 - belt moulding?? I am just leaving the mirrors on to do it all in one shot.

PPGFREAK- Yeah i did some reading and they seem great! Also I did the jambs yesterday let them dry over night and going to do the whole exterior monday I hope since mothers day today . But I cant wait till its done!

 

The mouding that your arm would rest on if you had it out the window is the belt moulding. Dude take an extra 5 min and pull that stuff off. Your begging for peeling problems. You have come too far to skip step 1 of a nice job.

 

disassemble the mirrors bro and get each painted.

yeah I am planning to go right now and take them off. You guys are right I don't want to cut any corners

 

Two things to think about
1) Paint guns dont spray around corners, if there is somthing in the way then move it. Paint will not slide its way in and get proper adhesion, so long term it will fall off, peal, flake,ect.

2) Paint only stickes to a sanded surface, if there is a molding, trim,ect on the car then you cant sand under it, so the paint will come off the are.

I'm in last place. I just jambed mine last night.still have to trim rear doors,under hood and under deck lid. I'm in no hurry, I still need 300 to buy my clear coat.

Nope sorry not telling and I have taken at least 50+ pictures. I got lucky on the hood and trunk because there cf, so no jambing for them
