i got my coilovers put on today. initial ride quality is more stiffer than H&R sports. I have one question though, how much play do we have with in the rear? My installer said the fronts can go mad high but the rear and little adjust as far as height is concerned.

i think i might of ran into a similiar issue. on my set of coilovers i didn't really need too much playing around in the rears as I just happen to get lucky with something similiar in terms of drop. But on a 2nd set that i installed, i've found that the max height in the rear isn't that much max at all. Ats its almost rubbing on 245/40/19 on 8.5 +33

What are you guys adjusting. The spring or the mount. The mount that spins is your height adjustment, but when you adjust that you go to adjust the preload too since it will have slack to it. Hopefully you get what I am saying.

How would one know how much to adjust the rear shock?

And also isn't ride height solely based of the spring and not what the shock is preloaded at? I've solely adjusted the spring mount in the rears and never touched the shock.

I've emailed both BC racing and Circuit for more detailed info on rear adjustments and also why we dont have the lower spring mounts like the ones that come with the 350z when i think they are completely idenitcal, that could of been used to give us a .5-1.5 inch boost in height if we wanted it. Since its that much thicker then our OEM rubber ones in the rear.

the rear shock is threaded, i beleive you can adjust the shock as well. i think that what flying lumpia means. correct me if i'm wrong. but i'm not having issues with the rear so i really havent messed with it.

i know its threaded, its clear to see that part. But i'm saying what does the shock pre-load have to do with overall height.

The stock Z rear shock is 1inch shorter then our sedans to begin with and when you still it, it will sit at the same height that the G shock sits. Because ride height is solely pending on spring and the shock only controls rebound and compression. This can be completely changed in a coilover system, i'm not too sure. I dont like the rear suspension designs to begin with.

I just talked to Tim from BC and he explained everything to me about pre-loading and etc.

All is clear to me now how these are setup.

Anyone install these rear extenders yet? I dont want to drill blindly into something.

I did, i didn't have to drill anything i just took those rubber things off which cover up the strut it's self and the extensions are just sticking out from the seats so i don't have to deal with adjusting anything i can take pics if anyone want.

I have reclining rear seats no worries for me.

I had some springs for sell but sold them already. Thinking about getting rid of the vrt front coilover and my rear koni/coilover since I dont need them.

pictures please of the rear reclining seat and the locations of the adjusters.

i didn't bother installing but a i felt up there and it was a moving rubber unit. I'm in the middle of doing a timing belt so i dont really have time to play with my car.
