Sunday Afternoon Mini Mod
So my gf went on vacation, that left me the whoel sunday afternoon to poke around my garage so I got a new mini mod going.

picke up these bad boys from Riverside Infiniti: JDM window visors

Went to 2 kragens, 2 autzones only to find Pep boys are the only ricer store that carries these

Partially blocked out the front to make it match better
End results:

As you can see, I was unable to partially black out the rear due to the stupid fatness. I will have to have my vinyl shop custom cut me a piece to get it to work that way. The blackout tape is 1 3/8" in length, and no matter how I heated it and stretched it, it was not able to cover it all. However, I did black out the bottom 2 chrome piecs that are right on the bottom of the windows as well. I used about 1 and 1/4 roll since I messed up so many times on the rear
Special thanks to RC (tyco rc) and Jerms (gtrefever) on the pointers. Very much enjoy the end results. Once the rest of the chrome is hanlded and my door handles painted body color, then no more chrome

I also used electrical tape for some of the chrome pieces, but his tape looks more matte/satin finish than the one I used... so I'm gonna give that a try!

eletrical tape is fail for blacking out the trim. When I felt how sticky eletrical tapes were, I scraped that idea since it'd be a mess to work with. I've read reviews on this particular blackout tape, and apparently a lot of beamer users have had very good results with them along with longevity. I don't think elecrical tape is designed to withstand any weather.
It really didntt take me long at all, probably around 2 hours for all the tape areas and I took my time. They are very strong and thin, so it's easy to work with. Plus their glue residue is not as sticky and nasty like electrical tape. Rubbing alcohol, some towels, razor blade, tweezers, hair dryer is really all you need for an awesome finish. Don't forget a big **** fan, cuz it was hot up in my garage. LOL
Try Pep Boys first, I made a big **** circle around my area looking for this. $5.99 a roll.

3 seperate strips to cover up the fat part
This is just temp for me till I get it painted down the road. The e-tape is sticky (when coming off but only in very small spots...otherwise it comes off very clean) but very easy to work with (I used the more expensive kind...3M) because it is vinyl and very flexible. They do sell some wide enough but it has to be purchased online and it's not cheap, which is why I just got what they had on the shelf for now. Like I said, just temp for me so I can stare at it for a while and make a decision.
Looks like what you got worked out well.

you know what, I'm gonna try that tomorrow.
using 2 sheets sounds like it's a feasible option....with a slight gap whicn I'd have to live with for now. Better than nasty partial chrome!
