Labor day weekend Project

Well it's pretty ironic...what I thought was going to be an 1 hr small project took about 10 hrs. More Labor than I anticipated on Labor DAy weekend

When I got my interior done, my interior guy made me a shift boot out of nova suede and orange stitching so I can use it whenever I wished.

Thought would be a nice lil project to put it on my car. Bought an 05+ 6mt console from tecni so I went to work this weekend converting mine to use the boot. It involived various cutting and sanding in many areas and was definitely a PITA to do

yah yah yah, I know some will not like it, I don't have a 6mt, why be a "poser" and pretend right? Well It's not to make it look like a 6Mt...rather...it's because it matches the theme of my interior better and serious......the stock "P R N D" in big round letters look kinda lame

Here are the end results: Worth it?

Before:

AfteR: (excuse the overexposed pix, it was in darkness with flash on.

the aluminum part is removeable.......so when I get tired of it not matching anything.......i'll probably spray it piano black like the rest of the console.

It looks good, especially the matching suede to your interior. Your interior = SICK.

If anyone wants a custom shift boot made hit up Locksmith(member here) Custom fit to your AT or MT.

Look good man, I like the dish. I am going to install mine and see how I like it and then maybe add a dish later on.

You care to make a Video DIY on how to take the shift console out? I'm going to have to do it when my boot and know get here and I don't know where to start!
