^Thanks Mike.
Actually, that hasn't been mentioned, but I might end up swapping engine covers entirely.
Haven't decided yet (I have both of these)
If I did the B&W one, I might consider doing the letters in red. But the solid IP one should have either black letters, or just the way they are IMO.

BTW, paint the TB black for sure.

^Yeah. TB paint is next on my list for sure. I just have to make time to do it.
What's really messed up is that I've had a plenum spacer sitting in the garage for a couple months and haven't got around to installing it
At first I was waiting because I had to paint it to match the plenum.
I'll probably do the TB at the same time as I do the spacer.
In regards to painting the letters white on the B&W engine cover, I've been avoiding painting anything white myself, everything else that's "white" has been painted by a shop and is actually IP. Doesn't always show up in the pics, but if it were regular white, it would make the IP look even more yellow than it already does
A friend of mine does pinstriping though, he might be able to come up with a fair approximation of IP.
I wonder... what if I just did a thin pinstripe and outlined the letters? or if I did black letters on the white, give them a red pinstripe outline...
I'm also undecided on whether I want to go with red hoses or black ones :/

It's just some random no-name intake from eBay.
My cousin got it along with his 350Z, but the guy hadn't installed it yet, and my cousin wanted an InJen so he gave it to me.
I tried it out, it sounded reallllly nice so I had my painter shoot it with a coat of IP while he was doing some other work on the car.
I know it doesn't gain any power, wouldn't be surprised if it loses some (especially when heat-soaked) but it sounds nice, so I don't care.
Besides, I'm not building power. I'm past that point in my life, and if I was going to pick a platform to build power, I wouldn't pick the VQ... to expensive.

^No gains.
Also, if you're running full length CAI, it does add a very small, but noticeable lag when you go WOT.
A short-ram has nice throttle response, and I've ran mine as a short-ram before, but the heat-soak issue is even worse because of getting hot-air from the engine bay, and the sound just doesn't compare.
