Got my e-fan mod mostly done (to the point of it's working and I'm driving it anyway)

Definitely a recommended mod. I personally didn't notice a really huge gain right off the line, but when you punch it to pass someone, it is DECIDEDLY more responsive

While I was at it, I also deleted the extra idler pulley left over from the fan (so I got rid of the fan, pulley, bracket, all of it) and put on a shorter belt. Personally, I think that's the best way to go, as it frees up a lot of room for the fan motor
