The look what I bought thread
I'm thinking of doing swifts also.. what spring rate u doing??
On the note of shutting down a computer vs not... best practice is to heat cycle thermal paste a couple dozen times on a fresh install. After that, do what you want, though personally I think leaving it running is better.
Pin out that lowspot, duraglass it, cut that with 36, then plastic it, cut that with 36 and if needed repeat(finish in 150). Then finish off with polyester with 220 with a 400 feather edge.
Man, you people on east coast have completly different language. I would of just said fill in low spot with dynaglass. Sand with 36 grit, wipe with filler to fill pin holes. Knock down with 36, finish with 80. Wipe with glaze, hit with 80, finish with 180. Da all the edges with 180, backsand with 320
I have the OEM rear end so I might go with 14 or 15. My fronts are fine, the rear just has too much give.

Just built a new system. Only using one 500GB HD. I might pick up an SSD for the OS because everyone says it runs a lot better.
Those docks look nice calcul8.
I'm using an internal HD in an enclosure, but those docks look a lot more practical, since I have to use a screwdriver to swap these things out (on the external enclosure)
As for "what I bought"
On the right, compared to my old system

How useful is an SSD with the OS installed on it if I leave my computer on stand by instead of turning it off?
I rarely actually turn off my PC. I just leave it on standby. Someone said that kills my hardware faster (wth?) but the system was built in 2005 with no issues at all. Didn't even take the heatsink to add thermal paste and still runs cool lol.

Its in the correct orientation. I moved the fan to the other side, to avoid the ram heatsinks. It'll be impossible to fit after I fit aftermarket ram coolers.
