So.. how does this snapon truck thing work? Is it a delivery truck when you order stuff? Or is it like a "food truck" in that it roams around and then stops at places and people buy up a crapload from it when it does.

It's a great knife, really smooth and fast assisted-opening, stays sharp, excellent texture on the handle so it won't fall out of your hand.

Oh wait, were you asking about the t-shirt?

They go to commercial/industrial shops (typically places with mechanics that have purchased before)... yes, it's like food truck/ice cream truck...

they go to a couple of the shops where I work... personally I think Snap-on is over-rated and over-priced... it's decent quality, but there is better (Snap-on is to tools what Bose is to audio).

Over priced yes but not over rated if you use certain tools everyday. There ratchets and wrenches are best imo. Not Bose caliber by any means. Just for record I do not own a lot of snap on but the ones I do have are snap on for a reason.

Also they have a great warranty and rebuild certain tools on the spot. Unlike SK which for a while would not warranty anything.

Most of my hand tools are Craftsman (and an Armstrong trq wrench, and a (Proto trq wrench, both very good) - I'm far from "expert"... but the mechanics I deal with at work (who are definitely experts) wrench on commercial vehicles and cranes - about 95% of them say the same thing (Snap-on is over rated)... But they are common and easy to come by... there's nothing wrong with getting them (if you don't mind paying over-priced, which makes them over-rated).

People tend to think they are better than they are (which is why I used the Bose analogy - in addition to the over-priced)...

like I said, they arent "bad" - but there is better.

Like anything else you get what you pay for and all tool company's ( Matco, Mac , Snap on, Cornwell) are all way more expensive than what is bought at a local department store.

Same reason why Volks are stupid money because they make a quality product and people buy them.

The few snap on tools I have are fantastic and they have a LEGIT lifetime warranty. Not some bull **** where you damage it and it takes 6 weeks to get a new one. They swap it on the spot no questions asked. Paying the premium for Snap on and Mac is like buying insurance, pay a little more and it's the last tool of that kind you'll buy.

the ones I was referring to definitely aren't available at local hardware stores... in fact, that's one reason Snap-on are popular, they are relatively convenient to get...

BTW, Volks are expensive primarily because they are imported from Japan (but yes, they are quality too, albeit over-priced) - import fees jack prices stupid high.
