If it's Mom's accident and she has offered to pay to fix it, that seems fair and not taking advantage as some here seem to assume. If OP can get aftermarket for a similar price to OEM, why not?

If my Mom hit something in my car she would absolutely insist on fixing it. But she would also be cool with me taking the opportunity to upgrade as long as I paid the difference.
