But... if somebody didn't want to spend that much, or wanted something in the interim or to protect the bottom of their bumper, I don't see what the problem is.

 

hey where can i buy that 3m double sided tape? does home depot sell it? and what section of a store would it be in. i really dont feel like asking a employee as i already know they will have no clue

 

^Yes they have it, as does Lowe's and in fact most hardware stores.
IIRC it's close to the caulk and adhesives.

why do you call it a splitter?

 

auto parts store have several options... and probably more suitable for your needs... 3M has a couple kinds of 2-sided tape... for emblems I prefer the thin grey so it sits flush... but the darker (almost black) is more adhesive...

For things like molding or sealing/weather stripping there are other adhesives that work better...

Any chain auto parts store will have what you need. (Pepe Boys, Kragen, AutoZone out here)...

 

The spoiler wouldn't have any give, you knock it off quick time. Plus it wouldn't look as good.

A little update: A little over a week painted and shipped to me from the time I placed my order (from Taiwan to Texas).

1163mm actually looks on point during my test fit. I haven't put it on yet, since I plan to do it over the weekend with a picture update (hopefully).
