Hikkatadori Sedan Trunk Installed

in So Cal, land of Larry H Parker amberlamps chasers... I think it will create more problems, not cure them
in the litigious society I live in it would be a huge liability... anyone that rear-ended me would say I was backing up and they couldn't tell because I had no reverse lights (it would be impossible to defend)... any other circumstances would probably be overshadowed by not having reverse lights (that are a federal requirement)...
Hopefully nothing like that will happen in your case though... I'm not versed on Canadian Transportation Law...
If it were me, I'd consider finding a way to use only the circle portion of the 05-06 reverse lights and recess them in the trunk... just my .02

But actually if you used only the circle part it would be small enough to camouflage with dusted body color... even ifbleft white it would be barely noticeable (until lit in reverse)

I saw someone at a car show one time that had their reverse lights completely shaved (don't remember what kind of car... not a G though)
They put a pair of lights inside by the 3rd brake light. Clean looking install from the inside, and well obscured by the tint from the outside.
The guy said a cop questioned him about the lack of reverse lights one time and he showed he did indeed have them he got off with no problem.

Bottom line is when you adjust 1 side, the other changes as well, and if you try to bring it down too much, the lid ends up "sinking" when you look at the lines on the top. I think i found a happy medium so i'm gonna put this to rest. Compared to some of the other aftermarket G/Z/Evo trunks i've seen recently, the fitment is not that bad. (Plus--since i'm OB its all less noticeable

hey Chicago that looks great. I had a secret guest over at my moms house last night helping me work on the trunk. We lowered the striker and it worked like a charm. Also took off both shocks on the lid, figured I don't need it anymore. We got it to line up pretty well, I like this trunk a lot right now! LOL
